On 15th July 2025, we were privileged to host Dr. Ravindra V. Durvasula, Chair of Infectious Diseases at Mayo Clinic Florida, USA, for an enlightening Public Health lecture titled “Emerging Clostridium difficile Infections: One Health Implications.” at the Indian Institute of Public Health Shillong. His talk underscored the significance of C. difficile infections in both hospital and community settings, highlighted the role of human-animal-environmental interactions in community transmission, reviewed current therapeutic advances, and emphasized the need for a multidisciplinary approach to effectively address the public health threat posed by this pathogen.
