IIPH Shillong Participates in PHFI@20 Symposium and Wins Best Stall Award
The Indian Institute of Public Health Shillong participated in the PHFI@20 Symposium: Two Decades of Impact – Advancing Public Health Excellence Through Collaboration and Partnerships, held on 22–23 April 2026 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
Representing the institute were Prof. Sandra Albert, Director; Dr. Carinthia Balabet Nengnong, Assistant Professor; Dr. Deepak Rajan, One Health Fellow; and Ms. Phibansuk Lyngdoh, Project Officer. The team actively contributed as panelists and delivered presentations during the scientific sessions.
A dedicated exhibition stall was set up by the institute, showcasing contributions from various project teams along with videos highlighting community-based activities and public health initiatives. The stall received wide appreciation from participants and visitors for its engaging and impactful presentation.
A major highlight of the symposium was the institute receiving the Best Stall Award in the IIPH category, recognising its outstanding presentation and collaborative efforts.
Celebrating 20 years of the Public Health Foundation of India, the symposium served as an important platform for public health professionals, researchers, and students to network, exchange ideas, and strengthen partnerships. A cultural programme was also organised alongside the scientific sessions.
