The Indian Primary Healthcare Support Initiative, aimed to strengthen and support the State Government’s Comprehensive Primary Healthcare Initiative through the Ayushman Bharat- Health and Wellness Centres (AB-HWC)and a collaborative effort on involving Johns Hopkins University, USA, AIIMS New Delhi, Institute of Public Health, Shillong and Government of Meghalaya had a productive meeting on 3rd of June 2025 at the NHM conference hall in Shillong. The meeting, chaired by Shri. Ramakrishna Chitturi, IAS and MD, NHM brought together State Health officials for an discussion on the next phase of healthcare interventions in West Garo Hills District.
Discussion focussed on key areas such as competency-based District Manager Training, NQAS and Cross-Learning Support, PHC-led HWC Coaching Model, Community Engagement through VHC-HWC Linkages. The meeting also served as an opportunity to receive valuable feedback from state officials.
