On 26th November, 2024 IIPH Shillong hosted an inspiring public health lecture by Professor Sanjay Zodpey on Human Resources for Health.
The lecture titled “Broken NHS: How Did It Happen and What Can Be Done?” facilitated by Dr. Rajan Madhok on 21st November 2024, at IIPH Shillong.
On November 11, 2024, MPH 1st Semester and BSc PH 3rd Semester students of IIPHS had the privilege of attending an insightful and engaging session with Ms. Phida Kharnaior, Adolescent Counselor at Civil Hospital.
On 7th November 2024, IIPH students from the MPH 1st Semester and BSc PH 3rd Semester participated in an enlightening session on HIV and Injecting Drug Use (IDU) with Mr. Zion Marwein, Assistant Director of GIPA and CSS at the Meghalaya AIDS Control Society.
MPH 1st Semester and BSc PH 3rd Semester students from IIPH Shillong visited Shakti Sadan, Umshing, Shillong, on 6th Nov 2024, for an orientation session.
An impactful session on ‘Violence Against Women and Children’ at IIPHS gave BSc PH 3rd semester and MPH 1st semester students insight into the harsh realities faced by women and children due to power dynamics. Led by Ms. Iaimanda from North East Network.
