The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) hosted the 8th Research Symposium on April 24th and 25th, 2025, in New Delhi under the theme: “Fostering Collaboration for Public Health Impact”. Researchers, faculty, and students across PHFI, the Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs), Centres of Excellence (CoEs), and partner institutions participated in this event. Prof. Sandra Albert and Dr. Melari Nongrum was part of One health panel, delivered talks on “One health research, experiences in Meghalaya” and “Perception of zoonoses and meat handling practices in an endemic tribal community in northeast India: insights from Meghalaya”. Dr. Eliza Dutta was also part of panel session on Implementation science, delivered a talk on “WECan: Women empowerment for cancer prevention in Meghalaya”. E-poster presentations by Dr. Eliza Dutta on “Risk factors for gallbladder cancer in high burden regions in India: a systematic review and meta-analysis”, Ms. Phibansuk Lyngdoh on “ Addressing specialist shortages in Meghalaya: Implementation of the ADARSH project” and Dr. Riviarynthia Kharkongor on “Household adaptation strategies in response to climate change: a scoping review” showcased the undergoing research work at IIPH Shillong.
